Shopify Shipping Labels Now Cover the Netherlands and Poland with DHL eCommerce

On 16 October 2026, Shopify announced that merchants shipping from the Netherlands or Poland can buy shipping labels on Shopify using DHL eCommerce. Rates are discounted, and there is no fee on top of the Shopify plan. For European brands, it brings carrier labels into the order screen without a separate carrier account workflow.
What it is
Shopify Shipping now supports DHL eCommerce labels for two new origin countries. Coverage depends on where you ship from:
- From the Netherlands: domestic orders to eligible addresses in the Netherlands. Parcels are dropped off at a DHL service point or locker.
- From Poland: orders to eligible addresses in other EU countries. Parcels are dropped off at a DHL locker.
How it works and how to access it
Labels are bought per order, so the delivery address, items and weight are pre-filled. You choose a service and print. Tracking is added to the order and sent to the customer, and the order is automatically marked as fulfilled.
To start, open an unfulfilled order and click Create shipping label. You can buy one label at a time, or select multiple orders and print in bulk.
Limits and caveats
The changelog is brief on detail. It does not name the specific DHL services, give rate or label amounts, define what counts as an eligible address beyond the regions above, or state parcel weight and size limits. It also does not give pickup or drop-off cutoff times or the Shopify plan tier required.
The two origins are also quite different. Netherlands coverage is domestic only. Poland coverage is to other EU countries, with locker drop-off only. A Polish merchant selling domestically within Poland should not assume this applies. The entry links to a Shopify Help Center article on DHL shipping labels, which is the place to check the detail.
What it means for merchants
Buying labels inside the order removes re-keying of addresses and weights, and the automatic tracking and fulfilment update closes the loop with the customer. Discounted rates with no extra fee are worth comparing against whatever you pay today. For brands shipping from the Netherlands or Poland, it is a simple option to test.
Drop-off at a service point or locker rather than collection is a change to the daily routine, so it is worth checking that it suits your order volumes and team.
What it means for agencies and partners
If you support clients based in the Netherlands or Poland, this is a prompt to review their shipping set-up and carrier costs. Check which destinations their orders actually go to against the eligible regions, and whether native labels could replace a separate shipping app or manual process. Confirm the plan and address eligibility before promising savings, because the changelog does not state them.
How we would approach it
- Confirm the store ships from the Netherlands or Poland and review the Help Center article.
- Compare the DHL eCommerce rates shown in the admin with current carrier costs.
- Check that the main destinations fall within the eligible regions.
- Trial labels on a small set of orders, including a bulk print.
- Confirm the drop-off routine works for the team, then switch over more volume.
The short version
Shopify now offers discounted DHL eCommerce labels for merchants shipping from the Netherlands (domestic) or Poland (to other EU countries), with pre-filled orders, automatic tracking and automatic fulfilment. Several details are not stated, so check the Help Center and your store before relying on it.
